What a walk down Memory Lane! When I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, chipped beef was a necessary addition to every cook's pantry! We ate it usually in a cream sauce over noodles, baked potatos, and toast. This dip was another alternative and I remember it well. The flavors are smoky and complex and the texture is creamy yet filled with flavorful bites of onion, beef and cheese. Thank you for reminding me of the "olden days!" |
