Vegetable soup Fried chicken Tenderloins Meat loaf Salmon Patties Any new recipe that isn't really complicated.
A long time ago, my husband told me that his grandmother always put rice in her meat loaf, and he loved it. So, as a new bride, I decided I would do the same. I even invited my mother in law over for this "wonderful" meatloaf. So I added rice to the mixture and baked it. It looked so good! I sliced it and served it and it was horrible!!! My husband asked me what those little hard white things were in the meatloaf, and my mother in law just smiled. You see, I had added raw rice! And it didn't cook all the way through, so I had made a crunchy meat loaf. Since then I have learned how to make a good meat loaf and many people have asked me for my recipe. Unfortunately I can't give it to them, as I just throw stuff together when I make it.
I've been married (to one man) for 55 years. I love to cook and also I love new recipes. Looking forward to more recipes on this site! My hobbies are reading, boating, and my computer. I have 2 grown daughters, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. I also do a little bead stringing (novice) and am learning to crochet (sort of).
