I once was making a zucchini and ricotta galette and in a moment of pure genius, I decided that pulling the baking sheet that held said galette out of the oven (sans oven mitt) would be a good idea. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the evening with my hand fully immersed in a bowl of water.
I'm a newbie here at AOL Food. I grew up and went to school in North Carolina so I tend to miss deliciously Southern things like fried okra and hushpuppies every day that I live in the City. I'm also seriously addicted to breakfast cereal and would love to open up my own little ice cream shop in a few decades.
