10-Minute Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp each Italian seasoning, salt, sugar and freshly ground pepper

Cooking Instructions

Heat oil in a saucepan. Add onions and garlic; cook 4 minutes.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 6 minutes.

Plan ahead: Use half the sauce for 1 lb pasta, then refrigerate the rest up to 1 week, or freeze.
