Dissolve gelatin in 2 tablespoons cold water.
Add boiling water then sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add teaspoon almond extract and milk and stir.
Pour into 9 x 9 inch pan.
Chill until set.
Cut into cubes.
Serve alone or with chilled fruit cocktail or with chilled mandarin oranges
