REAL eggnog!

You need to try making it a day ahead of time, in a punch bowl with 2 quarts eggnog mix from the grocery store, 1 cup 100 proof bourbon, 1/2 cup of applejack brandy, 1/2 cup of cognac. stir well and then liberally sprinkle mixture with cinnamon. Put bowl in fridge and let it sit overnight. stir well when ready to serve. You won't believe how smooth it is and you can only notice the alcohol when it starts to warm your tummy.

Try this little twist.

Take the word of a true lover of the delightful potable. This is an excellent recipie. However after trying all the customary spirits i.e. Rum, Brandy, Bourbon, & Rye I have discovered that Butter Shots found in any liquor store makes this or any egg nog absolutly delightful. PS to HughdaMan; Have a glass not a quart and take a baby aspirin.

YUM!!!!

I've always enjoyed eggnog, but then I made this recipe and OH MY GOODNESS!!! It is THE best eggnogg I've ever had. I'm ashamed to admit that I actually drank the entire thing myself and didn't share with the kids (no alcohol for them of course).

Absolutely Fabulous!

I have tried many different eggnog recipes and this is beyond a shadow of a doubt the best I have ever made. Absolutely delish! I made two batches. One for the kids and one for the adults(with alcohol). Yum! A family favorite
