Amish Friendship Bread Starter

I have used this recpie before and you do not need yeast or anything else like that. SIimply do as the recipt states and it will be great! The milk, flour and sugar combination smells sorta like yeast after it sits on the counter. It does work though just as the recipe states.

i was under the impression that one needed some starter, force, etc. to make this....your flour, sugar, milk are added to the recipe to keep it going....my question is: how does one suspend it without throwing it out.

OOOPS!!

You need either yeast or "The Force" or pixie dust. Otherwise, you'll end up with gag slime.

Yeast?

Looked this recipe up and this is the only one that doesn't have yeast in the recipe......
