Apple Quickie

Ingredients

  • 6 medium baking apples
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • ground cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Peel apples and slice them into a 8" x 8": baking dish

In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and egg. Stirr with fork until crumbly and well mixed. Pour over apples in baking dish and spread until even.

Drizzle melted butter over topping and sprinkle generously with cinnamon.

Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown. May be served warm in bowls with half and half or ice cream
