  • 3 tablespoons bottled hoisin sauce

Cooking Instructions

Trim any fat from steak, and then score both sides of steak in a diamond pattern by making shallow cuts at 1-inch intervals in a diamond pattern.

Place steak in a resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish.

For marinade, combine broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, green onion, sherry (if desired), ginger, and garlic in a small bowl, and then pour over steak and seal the bag.

Marinate steak in the refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.

Drain steak, discarding marinade. For a charcoal grill, grill steak on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 17 to 21 minutes or until medium doneness (160 degrees F), turning once halfway through grilling. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place steak on grill rack over heat, cover and grill as above.)

Recipe Notes

To serve, thinly slice steak across the grain. Steam pea pods and grill fresh pineapple wedges to complement this tasty steak. Nutritional Information: Per Serving-- Calories: 205 Carbohydrates: 5g Protein: 26g Total Fat: 7g Cholester
