Ingredients

  • cornstarch

Cooking Instructions

INGREDIENTS 2/3 cup cold water 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup fruit puree of choice, such as soursop, cherimoya, mamey, guava, or passion fruit 1 cup whole milk PREPARATION Combine water and cornstarch and stir well. Heat mixture in medium-size saucepan over low-medium heat while stirring continuously, preferably using small whisk. Stir in sugar, vanilla, and fruit puree until well blended; then add milk, still stirring until atole is frothy. Makes 2 servings.
