Avenue'S Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 4 ounce Valrhona cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 ounce sugar
  • 6 ounce Valrhona chocolate, cut into medium-sized chunks
  • 1 tablespoon homemade vanilla

Cooking Instructions

1. Pour milk and cocoa into a saucepot, bring to a simmer and add sugar.

2. Reduce heat to very low and add chocolate stirring occasionally until melted, about 3-5 minutes.

3.Strain hot chocolate through a sieve and finish with vanilla. Hot chocolate can be topped off with homemade marshmallows or whipped crea
