Awesome Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 3 cups dry navy beans
  • 1 lb boneless ham, cubed
  • 1 each medium onion
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbs dry mustard powder
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Cooking Instructions

completely soften the beans by covering with 3 times their volume of water and bring to boil. boil 10 minutes then reduce heat and simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours. Strain and discard water.

Put beans in crock pot.

Add Ham.

In small bowl combine all remaining ingredients.

Add to crock pot and stir well.

Cover and cook 10-12 hours on low setting, or high setting for 4-6 hours.
