Back Ribs with Plum Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 racks (about 3 pounds) pork or beef back ribs
  • SAUCE
  • 1 jar (6 ounces) plum baby food with tapioca
  • 1 teaspoon each Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard and grated fresh gingerroot
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F. Have ready a large roasting pan with rack. Pour 1/2 inch water into pan.

Place ribs on rack in pan, curved sides up. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour or until ribs are tender.

Meanwhile mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Brush top (curved side) of ribs with some of the sauce.

To grill or broil:  Grill 4 to 6 inches above hot coals, turning and brushing with remaining sauce, 10 to 12 minutes until browned. Broil on broiler-pan rack 4 to 6 inches from heat source, cooking as directed.

Cut into individual ribs to serve.
