Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg (16) oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 5 cups milk
  • 1 8oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

Cook macaroni according to package directions. Preheat oven to 375*.In large saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter; stir in flour,dry mustard and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir until mixture thickens slightly and bubbles. Remove from heat. Add sharp cheddar stir until melted.Combine sauce with pasta. Spoon into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. top with remaining cheese. Bake 40 minutes or until hot & bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes.

Great Mac and cheese

I tried this for a New Years party. It was great, everyone loved it. Others asked for the recipe and it was gone by the end of the evening. Thanks BrendaL222
