Ingredients

  • 1 broiler or fryer
  • Bacon drippings
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 c water
  • Barbecue Sauce

Cooking Instructions

Split chicken down the back. Brush well with bacon drippings and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in a roasting pan and sear at 500F for 20 minutes. Add water, cover, and bake at 350 for 1 hour, or until tender. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, baste with the following sauce.
