Barilla® Whole Grain Linguine with Cherry Tomatoes, Thyme and Red Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 box BARILLA Whole Grain Linguine
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups red onion, julienne
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup water
  • salt (to taste)
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated

Cooking Instructions

Steps:

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Sauté onion with oil and thyme in a large skillet for 8 minutes over medium heat.

3. Add halved tomatoes; season with salt and pepper; cook for an additional 3 minutes.

4. Add 1 cup water and reduce by half.

5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to the directions, drain and toss with sauce.

6. Stir in grated cheese before serving.
