Ingredients

  • 1 Family Size package Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini
  • 1 jar Barilla Marinara Sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream, at room temperature
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • ½ teaspoon (plus more to taste) salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened, divided

Cooking Instructions

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the Tortellini and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Drain pasta.

3. Bring the Marinara sauce to a simmer over low heat in a medium sauce pan, stirring often.

4. Stir in the cream and continue to simmer over low heat until the sauce is heated through. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.

5. Season the sauce with more salt and pepper to taste.

6. Toss the Tortellini with the sauce.

7. Butter a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of the butter, pour the pasta and sauce into the baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and dot with the remaining 2 tablespoons butter.

8. Bake until the top starts to brown, about 25 minutes.
