Ingredients

  • 1 box Barilla Penne
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ cup white wine
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • salt (to taste)
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups green peas
  • ½ cup Parmigiano cheese, grated

Cooking Instructions

Steps:

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Chop the garlic and sauté it in a skillet with the oil until it turns light yellow.

3. Add the crumbled sausage, sauté it until brown. Deglaze with the wine and evaporate it well.

4. Add water, salt and pepper and simmer for ten minutes. Stir in the frozen green peas, simmer for fifteen minutes more.

5. Cook pasta according to the directions, toss with the sauce.

6. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
