Ingredients

  • 1 package Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini
  • 10 ounces fresh porcini mushrooms (may substitute 1 ounce dried)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Cooking Instructions

Steps:

1. If using dried mushrooms, soak for 20 minutes in warm water; drain.

2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

3. Sauté garlic in olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes, or until garlic turns slightly golden in color.

4. Add mushrooms, sauté for 3 minutes over medium high heat; remove garlic from pan.

5. Stir in cream, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 1-2 minutes or until sauce thickens.

6. Cook Tortellini according to package directions. Drain; toss Tortellini with the sauce and simmer 1-2 minutes.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
