Ingredients

  • 1 box BARILLA Whole Grain Penne
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (6 ounces each) tuna in water
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomato
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt (to taste)
  • freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Steps:

1. Add the oil and garlic to a medium sauté pan over medium heat.

2. Sauté for 2 minutes or until garlic is golden yellow.

3. Increase heat to medium-high and add the tuna and tomatoes. Bring mixture to a simmer; reduce the heat and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Season with salt and pepper. (If needed add some of the pasta cooking water to thin the sauce.)

5. Meanwhile, cook Barilla Whole Grain Penne according to the package directions.

6. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce. Finish with the chopped parsley before serving.
