Ingredients

  • 12 oz. cavatappi pasta
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 pkg American cheese slices cut into peices

Cooking Instructions

Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve. Meanwhile, for cheese sauce in a large pot, melt better over medium heat. Whisk in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth. Whisk in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth. Whisk in milk and cook, whisking constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Whisk in cheese until melted. Stir in pasta.
