  • 1/2 SHEET PUFF PASTRY
  • 3/4 LB BRIE CHEESE, WELL CHILLED, RIND REMOVED
  • 1/3 CUP WALNUTS, FINELY CHOPPED
  • 1 TBSP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 TBSP DIJON-STYLE MUSTARD

Cooking Instructions

THAW PASTRY SHEET AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR 40 MINS. OR UNTIL IT'S EASY TO HANDLE. HEAT OVEN TO 400. UNFOLD THE PASTRY SHEET ON LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE. ROLL SHEET INTO A 14" SQUARE. CUT INTO 36 2-1/4" SQUARES. GENTLY PRESS EACH SQUARE INTO EACH SECTION OF 3 (1 3/4") MINI-MUFFIN PANS. CUT CHEESE INTO 36 PIECES, ABOUT 1 X 1/2" THICK. STIR IN WALNUTS, BROWN SUGAR AND MUSTARD INTO SMALL CUP. SPOON ABOUT 1/4 TSP. OF SUGAR MIXTURE ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH PASTRY SQUARE. TOP EACH WITH A PIECE OF CHEESE. BAKE TARLETS FOR 15 MINS. OR UNTIL GOLDEN. LET COOL FOR 5 MINS. ON A WIRE RACK. SERVE WARM.
