Candied Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6 medium sweet potatoes, cooked and halved lengthwise or 2 16-ounce cans whole sweet potatoes, drained
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Arrange sweet potatoes in cook-and-serve baking dish.

2. In 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Pour syrup over sweet potatoes.

3. Bake 20 minutes or until potatoes are well glazed, basting often with syrup.

4. To serve: Spoon syrup over potatoes.
