Ingredients

  • 1 can Campbell's® Condensed Chicken Broth
  • 1 1/4 water
  • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 3 eggs , beaten
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 9 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg beaten

Cooking Instructions

MIX broth and water in Saucepan. Heat to luckewarm (110°F.)

PLACE yeast in a large bowl. Add broth mixture and stir to dissolve. Add 3 eggs, oil, salt and sugar

STIR in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Knead dough on floured suface until smooth, adding more flour as needed. Place in greased bowl. Turn once. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hr.

PUNCH down dough. Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll each into a 12" rope. Place 3 ropes side by side on the greased baking sheet. Begin to braid in the middle of the ropes and braid to one end. Turn the baking sheet around and braid from the middle to the other end. Repeat with remaining 3 ropes. Brush braids with remaining egg. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hr.

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Bake 30 min. or until golden. Cool on racks. Makes 2 loaves
