Cheesy Italian Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Sourdough french bread
  • 1 cube Butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder, or one clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend cheese

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice bread in half, horizontally, Mix butter, garlic, herbs, and parmesan cheese together and spread liberally on cut sides of loaf. Top each cut loaf with half of the shredded cheese and place on cookie sheet. Place in preheated oven and bake until cheese has melted and bread is crispy. Watch closely so that bread does not get too browned!

A Cheesy Dreamy Delight!

I've made this bread for years, sometimes serving it along side a pasta dish, and sometimes letting it stand on its own as an appetizer. It never fails to disappear and guests rave about its flavor. Enjoy!
