10/13/08 10:17 PM | Looks easy-tastes easyI look to be alone on this but...this recipe was a waste of my totally awesome chicken. I should have just made a chix salad w/ it. At least I have a dutch oven full of great stock (how the chix was so totally awesome).
I get the adding of wine, garlic and such...I'll just find a better recipe if I have to do all that.
This is a 5 star easy to make meal for busy moms and wives. But really, isn't this just dressed up canned cream of mush soup?
Actually, even busy moms and wives can step it up a bit by 'soup' cooking a whole chix. You'll have tons of stock, left over chix, and save money by purchasing the whole chix instead of just the breasts.
Hmmm, wish I could read what I've typed before I finish. I can only get the 1st paragraph and the last word. |

06/18/08 10:48 PM | Delicious, cheap & fast!!This recipe was killer! I only made a couple substitutions for those who love garlic... I used cream of chicken instead of mushroom because my husband has sworn off mushrooms and I added minced garlic and canola oil to the skillet while cooking the chicken (although the first time I tried this recipe I used shrimp..just as good!) Then once the chicken was tender and cooked through I added about 1/4 cup white wine (one dash for the pan, two glasses for me :) and a pinch of salt before adding the rest of the ingredients for the chicken alfredo sauce. TO DIE FOR! My picky-eater husband was a very happy man! |

Here's an easy, reliable way to ensure a moist and flavorful turkey...simply baste the turkey with chicken stock during roasting. When the turkey is done, use a bit more stock to make a quick and tasty gravy.
