Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 1 Rotisserie Chicken skin removed and meat shredded
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagas
  • 1 tub garlic and chive cream cheese

Cooking Instructions

Shred chicken after removing skin

Remove bottom portion of fresh asparagas. Cook asparagas until crisp tender.

Remove crescent rolls from container and cut in half.

Spread each piece of dough with 1 T of the cream cheese

Top with chicken and 3 or 4 of the asparagas spears.

Fold dough around the chicken/asparagas mixture and "bundles"

Bake at 375 degrees until puffed and golden brown.

Recipe Notes

Premade puff pastry sheets can also be used. Roll out each piece into a rectangle and cut into triangles. Spread with cream cheese and wrap around the asparagas and chicken. Brush with an egg wash and bake at 350 degrees until puffed and golden. Yum!

A Great Appetizer or Main Dish!

This recipe never fails to wow folks who eat it! The combination of cream cheese, fresh asparagas steamed to a crisp-tender stage, and succulent chicken, wrapped together in a delicate puff pastry is a "melt in your mouth and delight the senses" moment! Please enjoy!
