Chocolate Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 5 Eggs (Separated)
  • 1/2 lb Butter
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 Square (oz) Unsweetened Baking Chocolate (Shaved)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Confectioner's Sugar

Cooking Instructions

Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt into a bowl. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees.

In a mixing bowl cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and egg yolks. In a separate bowl beat egg whites until soft peaks form, set aside.

Add shaved chocolate to the flour mixture. Alternatively add flour and milk to the mixing bowl with the butter and sugar.

Fold egg whites into the mixture and then pour into a 10 Inch greased bundt cake pan.

Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes. Check the cake at 50 and if tester comes out clean remove from oven. Remove cake from pan and cool and cake rack. Dust with powder sugar.
