In a 4 to 5 quart pot heat oil to medium high. Brown pork onion and minced garlic.
When the juices get bubbling add flour and brown until the flour starts sticking to
the bottom of the pot. Add salt and pepper.
Add water chicken broth Roma tomatoes green chiles and cilantro. Bring to a boil
then turn down to simmer uncovered for 3 to 4 hours stirring occasionally. Scrape
the fat that rises off the top. Add more garlic powder to taste. Add more salt to taste.

04/12/09 02:22 PM | very goodmade this and its good..... i luv the taste of fresh roasted chiles..... we used anaheim ones..... didnt have any roma tomatos so used the same amount of diced Rotel ones.......plus did the pork in cubes.....check out my recipes on Kylee's Kitchen Cookbookpage...... will make this again......thanx for sharing it |
