Preheat the oven to 325 F
Melt butter in a large skillet
Add onions and celery over medium heat until tender, about 6 minutes
Remove from the heat and stir cornbread bread cubes, milk, water and eggs. And mix
Now place the stuffing in a buttered casserole dish and bake at 325 for 30 to 35 minutes

Pepper is in list of ingredients but no instruction as to when to add. Milk??????? I would substitute chicken broth for the water and milk, reduce to 1 egg, and add the pepper with the cornbread cubes also a little salt and some sage and maybe a little poultry seasoning. And I agree ... it's not stuffing if it's not cooked inside the bird... this is dressing. |

Cook it in a dead bird, then you can call it stuffing. |
