Country Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 cup A-1 Sauce
  • 1 pk. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 14.5 oz. can Petite Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 lg. Onion (chopped)
  • 6 med. Potatoes (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 2 cups Baby Carrots (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1 cup Celery (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 2 14 oz. cans Beef Broth

Cooking Instructions

Trim excess fat from roast. Heat oil in skillet and brown roast on all sides. Place onion potatoes carrots and celery in bottom of crock pot. Place roast on top of vegetables. Mix spices soup mix tomatoes A-1 sauce and beef broth and pour over roast. Add more beef broth or water as needed to cover roast. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
