Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Gound Pork Sausage
  • 1 Box Plain Croutons
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 8 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded Chedder Cheese
  • 1 small can Green Chillies (optional)
  • 2 tsp. Tabasco (optional)

Cooking Instructions

In a 9x12 casserole dish spray with non-stick cooking spray. Crumble sausage in a skillet and cook until browned. Divide sausage, cheese & croutons in half. In dish put a layer of croutons, layer of sausage, layer of small can of sliced mushrooms, layer of cheese then repeat with croutons, sausage & cheese. In a large bowl beat the eggs, cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of milk. Slowly pour evenly over dish & cover with foil. Leave in fridge overnite. Cook on 325 for 45 minutes to one hour. Check with toothpick in center, when it comes out clean it's done! Note: If using green chillies and tabasco they can be added to egg mixture.Makes great leftovers, reheats easily in the microwave

Great Hit at a men's breakfast meeting

Instructions state cream of mushroom vs cream of chicken, but works either way. Also, used seasoned croutons (about 8 oz). Thanks for recipe! Also used chillies and Tabasco! Great!
