Mix soup mix with cream cheese and let sit while you chop bacon and saute until crispy but not overcooked. Add bacon to cream cheese and add chopped green onion and sour cream Stir until well mixed. Break crescent dough into triangles and smooth edged together to form a rectangle. Make sure all the edges are sealed and roll slightly if necessary with rolling pin to form triangle area. Spread cream cheese mixture onto rectangle and roll up jelly roll style. Score with sharp knife into 8 or 10 slices and place on greased baking sheet in 350 degree oven. Bake until golden. Remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes. Slice thru and serve on platter.
This recipe is a great appetizer or after school snack. Its rich, chewy and filling. The bacon and green onions add great flavor, along with the soup mix. For lower fat varieties, consider substituting fat free items.

DeliciousThese were great, easy, and everyone wanted the recipe. Just a comment to JffrySmit -- it sounds as if you didn't even make this recipe -- just looked at the ingredients and decided to state your health-conscious opinion. Oh yes, FYI regarding your remarks -- it's "our" kids, not "are" kids. Since you know so much about nutrition, maybe next you should tackle correct word usage. |

Food To Die ByI love bacon just as much as the next guy, but to add cream cheese, sour cream, then the Pillsbury product which if I'm not mistaken still has trans fats and finally a sodium laced Knorr packaged soup pill?!?! I would love to see a break down of the nutritional value of this appetizer. "After school snack". No wonder are kids are obese |
