Creamed Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2-1/2 c milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 c + 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 lbs cooked shrimp

Cooking Instructions

Melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add seasonings and shrimp and cook until well heated. Remove from fire and stir in lemon juice and mayonnaise. Serve on salt-rising toast.
