Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1.5 cups Brown sugar
  • 2.5 cups Unbleached flour
  • 1 cup Dates, cut in small pieces
  • 1 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add the dates and nuts

Cream butter; add sugar and beaten eggs

Add dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixtured; mix well.

Batter should be very stiff (there is no additional liquid used).

Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Cook at 325 for 18 minutes.
