Follow recipe for Baking Powder Biscuits, above, increasing the milk to 1 cup for a softer dough. Drop by spoonfuls on greased pan or in muffin pan, and bake until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.

Sandwich Biscuits Preheat oven to 475F. Roll Baking Powder Biscuit dough, above, 1/4 inch thick and cut with a small biscuit cutter. Spread half the rounds with creamed butter and top with any chopped meat. Cover with remaining rounds. Press together and brush tops and sides with milk. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

New England Tea Biscuits Preheat oven to 400F. Follow the recipe for Baking Powder Biscuits, above, doubling the amount of shortening. Press a sugar cube dipped in orange juice or orange marmalade on top of each biscuit. Bake 10 to 15 minutes.
