Easy, delicious meat loaf

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs hamburger
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 medium size jar PACE mild picante sauce (salsa)
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers: crushed
  • 1/4 C milk
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce

Cooking Instructions

In Large bowl combine eggs milk salsa garlic salt pepper and crackers. Mix well letting crackers soak in liquid. Add hamburger and mix until well blended. Form loaf into 8"x8" ungreased baking dish or loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove and cover top of loaf with 2 cans tomato sauce (you can also 1 can tomato soup) spread evenly over top of loaf. Return to oven. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake an additional 30 minutes.

Recipe Notes

If you are making this recipe for a larger group: 3 lbs of hamburger, 1/3 C milk, 3 eggs, 1 and 1/2 sleeves crackes, 1 Tbs garlic salt, Large jar of picante sauce, 3 cans tomato sauce. Follow cooking directions same as the smaller loaf directions
