Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup margarine softened
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup powedered skim milk
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup water, room temperature
  • 1 egg beaten

Cooking Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and flour with a pastry cutter and set aside. In a small bowl, disolve powdered skim milk and garlic powder in water and whisk in beaten egg. Make a well in the flour mixture and gradually stir in egg mixture until well blended. Knead dough on a floured surface, about 3-4 minutes, until dough sticks together and is easy to work with. With a rolling pin, roll dough to between 1/4" and 1/2" thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

7. Bake 50 minutes at 325 degrees.

8. Cool on a rack until hard and store at room temperature, in a container with a loose-ffitting lid
