Put one ham(family size) into large,deep pan with water enough to cover,Bring water to boiling point,then add spices,cover and reduce heat to a simmer.Cook about two or more hours,checking occasionally to see that water never drops below ham.When done,ham should easily be pulled off with a fork.Drain and serve.
