Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Cooking Instructions

Cream butter and sugars. Mix in eggs and then oil. "Add dry ingredients and vanilla. At this point I sometimes put batter in refreg, easier to roll cold. Roll into balls. Press with glass that has been dipped into plain or colored sugar.

Bake at 350 for 8-10minutes. Grandma Toots uses a melon baller and a cut glass cream pitcher to make cookies.
