Green Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 whole pork shoulder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 oz cans salsa verde (or green salsa)
  • 16 taco sized flour tortillas
  • 2 tsp. oil or butter
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Cooking Instructions

1. Season pork with pepper and place in crock pot or slow cooker.

2. Pour salsa Verde into crock pot .

3. Chop onion finely and lightly brown in oil.

4. Add onion into crock pot and cook on low for 9 - 12 hours (I suggest you cook this in the morning or the night before).

5. Pull pork apart with two forks and serve with tortillas or rice. Top with cheese and enjoy!

My friend's mother gave me this delicious recipe. You can make it as a meal or appetizer, a wrap, a burrito, or just eat it plain by itself! You decide.
