Holiday Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 brick (8 oz) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel), at room temperature
  • 1 log (5.5 oz) herb goat cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup sun-dried tomato pesto
  • You also need: any shape cookie cutters (we used a 33/4-in. stocking cutter)
  • Decoration: pine nuts (pignoli)

Cooking Instructions

Mix cream cheese, goat cheese and pesto in a bowl until well blended. Cover and refrigerate until assembling.

Trace outline of cookie cutters on cardboard. Cut out; cover with foil or plastic wrap.

Shortly before giving, place cutters on covered cutouts and pack cutters with cheese spread. Decorate with pine nuts. Wrap with plastic wrap.

 

Store: Refrigerate cheese mixture (Step 1) 2 weeks.

You can also pack the spread in crocks.
