Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter a loaf pan. Put the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger in a large bowl, add the honey, egg, and milk, and beat thoroughly with an electric mixer for about 20 minutes. Spoon into the pan and bake for about 50 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool on a rack.
