Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Blend in brown sugar and confectioners. Remove from heat, Stir in ice cream, cinnamon,and nutmeg. Pour mixture into a plastic container. Seal. Freeze. Last 3 months.
In a coffee mug, measure 1 tablespoon Hot Buttered Rum Batter, 1 fluid ounce of Rum, the fill cup with boiling water. Stir. Sprinkle top of drink with nutmeg.

12/20/07 04:01 PM | The best ever!!!I had this recipe at a friend's home 30 years ago (yes, 30 years ago) and I have never had another hot buttered rum as good. The recipe is easy to make and when it starts to get cold outside, make the recipe and throw it in the freezer. Then you are ready anytime to add hot water and rum. |
