Cooking Instructions

Using a fork stir together oil cocoa powder honey salt. When completely mixed place in microwave on HIGH for 15-20 seconds or until bubbly. Remove from oven and stir again. Set aside while preparing milk.

Pour 8 ounces of milk into a microwave safe mug. Heat for 2 minutes.

Add 1 TBSP hot milk to hot cocoa syrup and stir to mix completely. Slowly add rest of milk stirring to thoroughly incorporate chocolate with milk.

Return mug full of hot chocolate to microwave and heat again until bubbly. Don't let it bubble over lip of mug.

Remove from oven and allow to cool to a drinkable temperature.

Recipe Notes

This recipe uses less cocoa and less sweetener than Hersheys'. Oil gives creaminess and prevents cocoa sediment from filtering to the bottom of the mug. Honey's glycemic index is lower than sugar. Chocolate and veggie oil are belly busters.
