Ingredients

  • 3 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 4-1/2 cups milk

Cooking Instructions

1. Heat chocolate and water in 1-1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.

2. Stir in sugar and salt. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in milk. Heat just until hot (do not boil because skin will form on top).

3. Beat with hand beater until foamy, or stir until smooth. Serve immediately.
