Jerk-Seasoned Pork Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp jerk seasoning sauce plus:
  • 2 tsp jerk seasoning sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 1/4 lb lean ground pork, shaped into four 4-in. patties
  • 4 leaves green-leaf lettuce
  • 1 large ripe tomato, cut in 8 slices

Cooking Instructions

Heat barbecue grill or ridged grill pan. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup and 2 tsp jerk seasoning sauce in a small bowl.

Grill buns, cut sides down, 1 minute or until browned. Remove to serving platter.

Spread 1 side of burgers with 1 Tbsp remaining jerk sauce. Place sauce side down on grill; spread tops with the remaining sauce.

Grill 5 to 6 minutes per side until an instant-read thermometer inserted from side of burgers to center registers 160°F.

Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise mixture.
