Saute sausage with onion until cooked thru. Drain. Add tomato sauce diced tomatos wine herbs peppers brown sugar and olive oil. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 30 minutes. Cook lasagne noodles according to package directions. Spoon a little sauce in bottom of baking dish. Top with 1/3 of the noodles 1/3 of the sauce 1/3 of the Velveeta 1/3 of the shredded cheese and repeat ending with sauce and cheese. Sprinkle with parmesan cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbling and cheese has melted. Remove from oven and let sit for 15 minutes before cutting.
This recipe is a modification of the one submitted by former governor, Jesse Ventura's wife in a cookbook. It never fails to satisfy hungry guests and the Velveeta adds a silky smooth texture and rich flavor.
