Lewis' Easy Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. Round steak
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushroom
  • 1/2 cup Dry red wine
  • 1-2 tabs. flour
  • 1 tes pepper
  • 1-2 tes. salt
  • 1 tes, Dijon mustard
  • 1 pak. egg noodles
  • 4 cans mushroom soup

Cooking Instructions

Empty mushroom soup into baking dish. Add salt and pepper to taste and add chopped onion and wine. Also add extra mushroons if desired.Stir throughly. MIx in flour if too thin. My mother also added sour cream, but I am not sure how much or when. Slice beef into thin strips and place in baking dish. Bake at 375-400 for an hour and 30 minuets. Prepare noddles as per directions. Serve over noodles.

Recipe Notes

Real beef strognoff can be made in a large skillet using beef stock and thicken with flour. My Mother also added sour cream. You can alos leave the beef in larger pieces and the sauce as gravy on potatos
