Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 shallots , chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 cup Swanson® Chicken Broth or 1 cup Swanson® Natural Goodness™ Chicken Broth
  • 1/3 cup maple-flavored syrup
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper

Cooking Instructions

HEAT oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook 12 min. or until browned and done. Remove chicken and keep warm.

ADD shallots and garlic and cook until tender. Add broth, syrup, mustard and pepper. Heat to a boil. Cook over low heat 10 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened and reduced to about 1 cup. Serve over chicken.

Easy and tasty

I liked it--it was easy to make and tasted good. To make it slightly less sweet you might reduce the amount of syrup and add a splash of white wine.
